Ihmiset etsivät rauhaa elämäänsä. Joku uskoo löytävänsä rauhan alkoholista tai huumeista. Tällainen ihminen saattaa ajatella, että elämä on liikaa kestettäväksi, ja että pään sekaisin saaminen rauhoittaa. Joku on varma, että kunhan raha-asiat ovat järjestyksessä, niin sitten ei tarvitse enää murehtia mistään. Hän saattaa ajatella, että hyväpalkkainen työ on avain onneen. Joku luottaa siihen, että perheen ja ystävien luoma turvaverkko suojelee kaikelta pahalta, ja että siihen voi luottaa vaikka mitä tapahtuisi.
Mutta ennemmin tai myöhemmin jokainen huomaa, ettei mikään näistä asioista tuo pysyvää rauhaa sydämeen. Tulee päivä, jolloin huomaat, ettei mikään näistä, edes perhe tai ystävät, tuo rauhaa sydämeesi ja elämäntilanteeseesi. Tulee päivä, jolloin huomaat olevasi aivan yksin ja rauhaton.
Mutta tiedätkö mitä? Et ole kuitenkaan yksin! Jeesus on vierelläsi. Hän on nähnyt sinun elämäsi alusta alkaen. Hän tietää kaikki ne virheet mitä olet tehnyt, ja Hän rakastaa sinua siitä huolimatta! Hän tarjoaa sinulle anteeksiantoa jos vain haluat ottaa sen vastaan. Se on niin yksinkertaista! Usko siihen, että Jeesus on kuollut myös sinun syntiesi edestä ristillä (koska se on totta!) niin saat todellisen ja pysyvän rauhan, jollaista et saa mistään muualta.
Joh. 14:27: Rauhan minä jätän teille: minun rauhani - sen minä annan teille. En minä anna teille, niinkuin maailma antaa. Älköön teidän sydämenne olko murheellinen älköönkä pelätkö.

People are looking for peace in their lives. Some believe they can find peace by using alcohol or drugs. They may think that life is too much to handle and that getting their head messed up will help. Some are sure that once they get their finances straight, they won't have to worry about a thing. They may think that a well-paid job is the way to happiness. Some trust that their family and friends will protect them from every evil, and that it's a fact that can be relied on no matter what.
However, sooner or later everyone will notice that none of these things will bring permanent peace in one's heart. There will come a day when you notice that none of these things, not even family and friends, will bring peace in your heart and your situation. There will come a day when you realize you're all alone and restless.
But you know what? You're not alone after all! Jesus is right by your side! He has seen your life from the beginning. He knows all the mistakes you've made and he loves you none the less! He offers you forgiveness if you want to receive it. It's just that simple! Believe that Jesus has died for also your sins on the cross (because it's true!) and you'll have real, permanent peace, that you cannot have from anywhere else.
John 14:27: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
